Scar Therapy
“If you have a scar, you have a problem.”
Scars can be visible externally and sometimes become ugly areas of fibrous tissue that cover the site of an injury such as a cut, wound, burn or incision. Internally this scar tissue can build up and create unseen problems.
Scar formation is step one of the natural healing process to protect damaged tissue or control an area of inflammation. It does not appear on a diagnostic test (xray, ultrasound, MRI) so it is often overlooked. Did you know that a scar can travel throughout the body and lead to organ dysfunction, pain and immobility and even more adhesion formation?
EVERYONE has adhesions otherwise known as internal scar tissue which forms after surgery, infection, inflammation or trauma. These adhensions can squeeze organs or joints which leads to pain and immobility. Often unexplained chronic pain is caused from the pull on structures distant to the trauma site.
Our specialized therapies release scars to improve appearance and texture, decrease tightness and discomfort, increase mobility and reduce associated internal stress.
“It is very important to release scars and therefore an important part of my combination approach to restoring wellbeing.” ~ Karen Seegert
Testimonials
Karen released all the scars that I had, and they are now soft and hardly visible. Amazing!
I had protruding (hardened scar tissue) since my second caesarean section 25 years ago. Karen came to my house and applied the wand for about 15 minutes. It smoothed and flattened the scar tissue and remains the same today. If I run my hand along the line, I don’t feel where the scar was
I love the therapy – it helped with my afternoon headache and SI pain.
